Trailer Maintenance Services FAQs

Yes, we offer trailer maintenance services including tire inspections and rotations, bearing inspections and service, and trailer lighting services.

Most service companies do not offer quotes over the phone and we do not either.  A lawn maintenance company would never quote a job over the phone without seeing your lawn because every job is different.   Since we are mobile service, we can complete a trailer diagnostic inspection and complete the service on the same trip (in most cases).  Call us to reserve your appointment.

While you can service your own trailer bearings, this is a dirty, difficult, and potentially dangerous job.  We have experience and knowledge to complete the job the right way the first time.  Failure to complete the job correctly may result in a roadside breakdown.

Lifting and working around an elevated, heavy trailer can be dangerous.  Additionally, the job is dirty with dust, grease, solvents, and more.  The job requires lifting heavy wheels and using both power tools and hand tools.  Working safely is very important.

Tire dry rot is when the rubber on a trailer tire dries out, cracks, and becomes brittle over time. It happens from sun exposure, heat, age, and long periods of sitting still without being used. Once dry rot starts, the tire becomes weak and can fail even if the tread still looks good.

Yes, in most cases.  We will need to know the tire size prior to the appointment so we can ensure we have the correct tire for your trailer.

Troubleshooting and fixing trailer light problems can be challenging and time-consuming.  We use special tools to identify and diagnosis where the problem is occurring and why the problem is occurring.

Yes, we have vehicles that can tow up to 10,000 pounds.  On the east coast, we can serve customers as far south as West Palm Beach and as far north as Jacksonville.  On the west coast, we can serve customers as far south as Venice and as far north as Cedar Key.  IMPORTANT:  We have limited storage spaces and do not offer this service within 48 hours of landfall.  Call us early!!

You may hear a low humming, grinding, or growling sound from one wheel, or feel unusual vibration while towing. Another common warning sign is a hot hub, which you might notice as heat, a burning smell, or grease leaking from the cap. If you experience any of these symptoms, it’s a strong indication the bearing is wearing out and needs immediate attention to prevent a dangerous on‑road failure.

For most trailers, we recommend a full bearing service once a year. If your trailer sits for long periods, is used in saltwater, or carries heavy loads, more frequent inspections help prevent hidden wear and unexpected failures. Regular bearing maintenance is one of the simplest ways to protect your investment and ensure every trip starts and ends safely.

Trailer lights often fail because of corroded connections, damaged wiring, blown bulbs, or poor grounding and these issues are especially common on boat trailers exposed to water and salt. These problems can lead to flickering lights, intermittent power, or complete failure.  We diagnose and repair lighting and wiring issues on‑site, ensuring your trailer is safe, visible, and fully compliant before you hit the road.

We service most boat and utility trailers and campers.

One of the best ways to ensure long life and reliable service from your trailer is to keep it clean - the frame, wheels, and tires.  This can be as simple as hose rinsing after each in and out (for boat trailers) and monthly fresh water rinsing for utility trailers.   Also, inspect your tires regularly and ensuring the tires are properly inflated.
